My practice centres around brief therapy which emphasizes a focus on specific problems and direct interventions. Brief therapy is often strategic, exploratory and solution-based rather than problem-oriented.

I believe in an integrative approach to psychotherapy which involves a synthesis of various theoretical schools of thought. I have been trained in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused Therapy, Brief and Narrative Therapy, IMAGO Therapy and Mindfulness Meditation. I use a variety of techniques tailored to each client’s needs and concerns. My aim is to create a safe and warm environment where clients can feel comfortable discussing their issues in a confidential and professional setting. The frequency of sessions and duration of treatment are reached jointly by the client and myself. My goal as a therapist is to help my clients increase their capacity to live a healthy and balanced life. So often we can develop patterns of thought and behaviour that are habitual and familiar, yet unhelpful. Together, we can change old ways of thinking and behaving and gain insight into developing positive steps towards a model of living that offers more growth and joy.

I offer day, evening and weekend appointments. My services are covered by most extended health care plans. If you are not fully covered by any of these plans, you may claim the session fees on the medical portion of your income tax return. I charge $150. per hour for individuals, couples and families.
